Shyamontika Sharma is one of the extensively popular and a very charming young assamese actress. She started her career as an Assamese actress in the feature film Rangman where she casted as a guest artist. She has been able to entertain the audience of Assam and of all other places with some brilliant performance before the camera and on stage. She is popularly known by the name of Jaanmoni because of her lead role in Bihu Video Film released in the year 2004 named as Jaanmoni 2004 which was then continued and presented in a series of subsequent editions where she played the role of Jaanmoni.
