Manisha Hazarika a veteran musician,singer, born and raised in a respectable Bengali family in Kolkata, had a musical background, but chose to stay back in Assam after her husband Assamese singer-composer Jayanta Hazarika's death to keep his legacy alive. She has promised herself to keep those memorable songs of her husband alive. She is an inspiration and a role model for every woman. She completed her husband's uncomplete euphonic contributions cover films like "Bonoria Phool, Niyati, Brishti, Dharmakai and Natun Asha" after Jayanta Hazarika's death.
